Late Movie Monday: Ambition

Right now, the satellite Rosetta is 7.8 km from the surface of the satellite 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. This is not fiction. This is the reality. It has been 82 days with the comet and in 15 days, they will separe. Until then, the European Space Agency let the imagination go to the future with this short film.

Starring Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen, “Ambition” is a gorgeous, spectacular and creative short that shows us how this event is seen in the future and how the ambition has changed the way humanity grows.

As Aidan is the Master, he teaches Aisling Franciosi, his apprentice, with what today and right now is happening. Don’t wait more and watch the entire short film.

Ambition is a collaboration between Platige Image and ESA. Directed by Tomek Bagiński and starring Aiden Gillen and Aisling Franciosi, Ambition was shot on location in Iceland, and screened on 24 October 2014 during the British Film Institute’s celebration of Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder, at the Southbank, London.
