Midweek’s Blender

Hello, and welcome once again. Like every week, we bring you 4 quick recommendations for you to check out. So if you are looking for a great movie, book, music or videogame, you came to the right place. We hope you enjoy them as much as us. Let’s start.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I can’t describe how much i love this movie. The plot is about Joel(Jim Carrey) and Clementine(Kate Winslet) falling in love with each other. But as every relationship they have problems and start to get tired of it. Soon Joel gets a card, saying that she erased him from her memory, and that he should stay away from her.

After realizing that is true, Joel goes to the same doctor, trying to understand why she did such a thing and decides to do the same, just to forget the sadness and depression. Then the movie takes us through Joel’s memories, as the erasing process starts… I don’t want to spoil you the rest of the movie, but is really an amazing film.

Is kinda depressing sometimes, yet the love story behind all of that is truly touching in my opinion. Besides, this was the first time when i saw Jim Carrey on a serious role in a movie, and watching this fellow sad is sometimes heartbreaking.

The Music is on The Sounds

Provocative, full of energy, crazy and fresh. This are some of the words that the fans use to describe one of the most attractive bands of Sweden; The Sounds. This band born with punky dance rock styles was born on 1998 but got their fame with the participation of the main singer Maja Ivarsson on the soundtrack of the Movie “Snakes on a Plane”.

The first album of the band came in the 2002’s alt-rock scene Living in America. The Band is known for their concerts full of energy and the great capacity to connect with the public. Their last album “Weekend” became a big success between the fans and got extremely positive rating on the media. We, at TwoGamed, are listen over and over again “Better of Dead” from the album “Something To Die For”. You should check this out!

Book with a cult behind the pages

Do we really need to give an introduction? I mean, if you have ever read a book from Stephen King you must know something about Carrie. But if you don’t this book is a masterpiece, and you should read it. Carrie centers on the story of a young girl that has a extremely religious mother, a really crazy one, and a lot of insecurity problems.

While she was in school, she started to bleed and she didn’t know that it was something natural for her body… she was just so scared. Everybody was making fun of her, and she was so ashamed for that. As her school year is about to finish a handsome and kind guy invites her to prom, she is really happy about that but something is not logic about it… why did he choose her?. And then it happened. The event. In the prom’s night. She unleashed her power. Oh yes! because she had telekinetic powers. Wanna know what happened? Read this extremely banned and awarded book and find out.

Want to test your skills as leader? You want to make a huge city with just a few citizens at first? Then this game is for you. Banished is a survival game where you guide a group of exiled “Mindless” workers, so they can survive and grow as a civilization. It’s not like Age of Empires, so don’t expect epic combats, is just focused on survival.

The game is not that complex, but oh god it is hard. You must make sure that your people always have food, shelter, something to keep them warm, schools, etc just to make sure they can survive. You don’t know how fast and easily everyone can die if you don’t have enough supplies. Yet is pretty interesting and entertaining, but slow sometimes (and you may have to start over the first 5 times)
